Merry Christmas!

It just wouldn't be Christmas if everyone was healthy.

The cold Piper had took a nasty turn the Monday before Christmas. By Tuesday I was convinced we were going to be spending Christmas in the emergency clinic.

Moxie was unfazed though.

Getting into everything

And everywhere.

Piper started feeling a little better, not great - but well enough to make some cookies for santa.
I was impressed, she got that sugar wouldn't help her cold at all so she didn't bug me about eating them.

Such a sweet girl.

And then Moo started to come down with "it"

Oh nelly. By Christmas Eve she couldn't sleep laying down.

Santa came! And so did brave Aunt Amy!!

And Santa's elves made Piper her troll!
Unfortunately with Christmas and two sick kids I didn't get a whole lot of photos.

But I did get Piper in her huggle pod from Aunt Amy!
How cool is this thing?!?

Moxie had some melt moments in the morning, but rallied for the afternoon.
And even started pulling to stand!

We had a lovely dinner and Mimi and Papa's. So glad the girls were able to enjoy their Christmas.

And the much desired Elsa Dress!!!
I'm already needing to mend it, but hey! When you ask Santa for something and you're that good- well he's got to deliver!

And then it hit...

Oh wow.

Moxie is a mess today, the day after Christmas.
She was achy and feverish and miserable.
Screaming unless I rocked her. And even then? Every 20 minutes and she would writhe in my arms.
Piper upon seeing how bad her sister was stepped up and either entertained herself or climbed onto my lap and gently sang to her sister while I rocked them.
So sweet. But no three year old deserves that. So I called Josh to come home early. And Piper will be going to Mimi and Papa's tomorrow for some much needed attention while I spend the day attending to Moxie.

I know she'll be stronger for it, but a baby with the flu? It's just so much for her little system. She's in agony. This babe who barely fusses when teething is wracked with a juicy cough, non stop boogies and that achy fever body. Now our mission is to keep her hydrated. Not the easiest task when she wont stop screaming while awake. But now she's asleep and her sleep cries are less than in days past, so I'm hopeful tomorrow will be easier.
