Baby Proofing

What a week!
Moxie is full on crawling now. And she's about 90% sitting from the crawling position.
All that strength training has paid off.

The Christmas prep and anticipation has Piper giddy.

She's been navigating some new relationships at school these days. I showed up Monday to find that she has become very close to a little girl named Leighla. They were huddled together playing dolls. Leighla has a new little brother born in Feb. So they have a lot in common. Piper has had friends, but this is different. They don't want to leave school without the other and hug and jump in excitement when they see each other.

The only issue was that there is another little girl who wanted to play too and the two girls weren't quite sure how to include her. The other girl is a bit rough, sweet at heart but new to sharing. Pipers response was to be mean. Rude. And exclusive.
We talked, her Dad talked and by the next pick up Piper was friends with the other girl and trying to figure out how to include Leighla. She responded beautifully to our discussions.
It's the beginnings of a school career of friendship snafus I'm sure.

I worked last Sunday and Josh took the girls for a hike. Moxie loves the backpack.

He kept sending me photos of the girls.

Piper has been painting cards and didn't want to leave Santa out!

We've been having record highs.
Little scary really.
We need snow.

Piper was drawing mermaids for her sister.

Check out that tail!

With Moxie's new found mobility Piper has been finding it hard to deal with an inquisitive sister who has no idea what no  means.

But she's learning how to include her.

And I'm re-learning how to baby proof

Well, looks like our well streak may be at an end...both girls ended the night stuffy.
I can only hope we'll see sleep and that it's all gone by Christmas.
