So much is changing 'round here. While teething makes for some cranky days, long nights and early mornings (ya- another one is on its way to the surface) the passing of time is also finding us with some pretty funny moments. Piper is more aware and able to show us "her." Still rather intense (or should I say intent) most of the time, there are quite a few giggles.
Mostly us laughing at her.
My dear friend Laura and one of her little boys Ryan put together a box of goodies for Piper. Piper has received boxes before (thanks everyone) but this was the first time that from the moment we picked it up from the post office she was curious.
Then when opening it she wanted to "help."
Anyone who has ever seen a photo of Josh's sister Kim (Aunt Kim) will know just how eerie this photo is. Could be taken straight from Kim's baby book.
And when the box is empty? Play with the box!
So on to the next discovery. So yes, as I mentioned she's teething. again. I swear we had about 48 hrs between bouts of pain. I feel for her, she's just not herself. So I had heard about putting frozen watermelon into a mesh feeder to ease the pain.
Worth a try...

And the next discovery...
So sleeping has always been an issue, but lately Piper has been getting up super dooper early and not making a peep.
Great, so sweet of her- except that this kid looses it when she's tired and sleep gets worse if she's overtired. So what do you do? I have no clue.
The other morning she was hanging with Dad while I got ready for the day and I hear him laughing. He heads up the stairs with her saying,
"Show Momma what you did this morning in your bed."
See what we have here is a discovery of toes and some new teeth.
Yep, thats right - kid chewed thru her PJs to get to her toes.
