Uncles, growing up and circus school

Sewing?

Yup. Overnight Piper started wanting to try harder things, have personal space and create.

She's sewing a blanket for her dragon.

Uncle Matt and Uncle Tim came to visit. Both girls are still talking up a storm about them.

Piper is trying to include her sister in basic chores. It's hard though. Moxie is a maniac. But she's still trying.

New bangs! Now we can see that sweet face!

Piper is space obsessed still. She told me if she wants to go to space she better get used to the dark. And just like that she turned off all her night lights. Well, except one.

Her playdough planets made with Mimi.
All of the animals went on strike to be closed in her room for even 30 minutes so she quickly adjusted.
What happened?
Oh good. The meltdowns over pajama pants still occur so no one swapped my kid out. She's still in there.

Piper started finding new uses for the seesaw. And Moxie discovered stuffing things up her nose.

This photo cracks me up

After a week of being brave Miss P got a new set of jams and some discovery kids space videos.

And then we went sledding with the neighbors.

Stopped to climb the fairy tree.

This is the hill. It's in the creek behind our house. Did I mention both Lauren and I are pretty much CA girls? Ya. We let Josh take the reigns on this one.

Mox was determined to build a snow man, but the snow was just not right for the task.

But she found a way to cheer herself up.

Mox trying our Piper's stunts.

This week Moxie and I got hit with a cold/flu. I was at 103.3 for several days.
Heinous.
But Josh was determined to get Piper to her first trapeze class at circus school.
Good thing too, because the girl is hooked.
She was scared to try things in class. But then came home to practice and wanted me to make sure to show her teacher she was trying.

"Mine turn!"

The sibling stuff is intense at times, but they love each other.

New Years!

These girls...lots of laughter around here.

Miss Piper seems to be teetering between little girl/big girl and asks a ton of questions. Soaks up all conversations around her and files it away to then shock the heck out of me later.

Miss Moxie is repeating everything.
Everything.
It may come out in a different order and slightly different pronunciation- but it's there.

We celebrated Irish New Year at the Kelly-Tate house. Tons of kids and lots of fun.

Even the furry kids are getting along.

Thank you notes. Piper is WAY into them. For short bursts.
It's a lesson in patience for me.

The annual Shumei even was a late evening event this year.
Piper ate her weight in octopus.

And though shy, joined right into to play.

I got a good look into Moxie's mouth today. Just as I suspected- two lower molars are basically in. I knew she was teething, but didn't know where we stood. 2 more two year molars to go!
