Explorations and New Nanny

Where is the summer going?

Oh yes! I forgot. 

All my time is spent playing defense these days. No wonder time is warping!

Miss Moxie loves hiking. Girl hand hang in the backpack for hours. So Josh has taken to doing his scouting for hunting season with Mox on his back.

She loves it.

The girls are getting a long really well. Playing together with minimal "sibling stuff"



Piper has been rocking her chore chart and has really been awesome with her extra chores too. She earned enough for her crown, which she wears everywhere.
She's 1/2 to her next goal.



Taking advantage of the bug free awesome weather with regular walks with friends.





Piper is in doggie owner training and is doing awesome.
We are looking to get a puppy in the spring.



Music fest this year was wonderful. But the much anticipated "jumpy thing" was no where to be found.
I was so so so impressed.
Did I mention I was impressed?
Piper had been looking forward to jumping into the sky all year. She took the news that it wasn't happening in stride. She was disappointed for sure, but no melts.





The girls are obsessed with my makeup ad jewelry. Piper is all about making us "fancy"
Moxie dispises anything frilly.



Meet Shila!
Shila is from Denmark and has been caring for children her whole life.
The girls adore her. When she comes to the door they run to her and don't look back. No melts when I leave and happy as can be when I return.

Be warned, Momma brag moment in progress...
Shila loves the girls to pieces and tells me they are unbelievably happy and easy to be with.
Age appropriate issues last seconds and they listen to reason.

I'm pretty proud of them

Oh yes, Miss Moxie Madeline is a hand full.

Baby gates?
whatever.
Table tops?
prime for dancing.
And everything ends up in the toilet or the trash.

Piper spoiled me.
I had no idea. No clue, that kids could be this destructive and curious.



It has been a bit rough as Moxie cuts the last of her teeth. All canines.
And yowzer do they hurt.

Two more to go and one is very much on the move.



Piper - sweet girl is getting so much older so quick. Unprompted she offers her ice cream to her little sister.
Thats Piper. Her heart is crazy big.
