She's Back!

Oh Thank You modern medicine, I do so value you. When you're needed, you are very needed.

It took several more days, but we're back to just the usual all night power struggles and the screaming has ceased.

So after a little over 24 hours off dairy Piper's toddler snot nose stopped. When she was still screaming, thinking it might be her tummy - I gave her some yogurt.
Within 5 minutes her nose was running like a river and her cough worsened.

No dairy it is then.

She hadn't minded much, but I've had a bit of rethinking to do!

Worth it though.

Now on to processing a sister...
Aoife came by with her baby stuff and our baby stuff and we 're trying to get ready.
Of course I can't find a single newborn box in our storage unit. 3 month on we are golden.
Ah well - they grow fast and we got the gear at least!

One of my Japanese coworkers lent us a Cirque du Solei DVD.

Please now call her "acrobat" - she to me she is going to practice do she can do that one day.
And practicing she is!

Can you see 'um?

How 'bout now?
Huge herd of elk out the kitchen window this morning.
Lovely.

While some of you only want Piper updates, you're getting updates on me too because while I may be chopped liver, I am carrying the next little girl expected - so there!
Midwife has not been pleased with my constant illnesses at all. She hit super concerned this morning, so since I had an apt with the OB anyway she had a list of tests she wanted. OB saw no signs of infection at all when she took a good close look. She thinks it's allergies. Really? In the dead of winter? Apparently yes. So while the blood work was done, just in case it is in fact a secondary bacterial infection -I'm now on a slew of allergy medications. Hoping this is it and I kick it in the next few weeks- Because she be dropping !
Thank Goodness for Mimi and Papa - they are braving the nighttime antics this weekend so I can get some sleep, glorious sleep!

Oh, totally off subject - but get this- I said to Piper let's get your room in order. I lifted up a stuffed animal and she said, momma - this all goes into my baby sisters room. I don't want it - she can have it. So she starts hauling all the big big big animals in to her sister's room. Stops and says Momma, I mean it - don't take it out of her room I want my room clean she can have it. She didn't stop there. Almost everything but the books ended up in the baby's room. Duplo Legos, train from Aunt Kim - the toys in bins on her shelf stayed. The stuffed animals? Gone.

Apple doesn't fall far.
I'm not the only one who is not fond of piles of "extra"
