An Affectionate Child - Happy 2nd Birthday!

Piper's Birthday week started with warm weather at the park with a good friend.

And a lot of fun with the boa her Dad picked out for her...

Another box came from Grandma Les...

 a Piper sized broom?
Awesome!

 More bonding with dolly

She helped us put together her easel.
And even knows the difference between a wing-nut and a washer now, she was actually a lot of help.

Birthday Morning hugs from Daddy.
And an announcement that she, "Want go Mimi, Bapa's house and have fun"
okay, we'll work on that!

And learning how to catch and trow a ball with Aunt Sandi!

Check that form!

The Birthday Party had more balloons than I realized

But they looked awesome in the ocean themed decorations Aunt Amy put up

Even if they did cause some overwhelm at first.

Piper and Giselle waiting for the sit n' spin to be put together.

 She likes her hugs.

Aunt Sandi got Piper this dog that plays music, among other things. And Piper has made the first step of the stairs her own personal stage. Performing nightly with renditions of "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes," and the Alphabet Song.

She was moving too fast to get a good photo, but now that she's two we are Rahula bound 4 mornings a week.

This morning I was greeted with big tears when we pulled up.
But by the time I left she didn't even look at me when I said goodbye.

And by the time I got back she was initiating big group hugs with the other kids.

I'm anticipating a few more tears while she gets used to it, but it sure is great to know it is fleeting.

Today Miss Vicky had planed a special party for Piper, complete with mini cupcakes.
ya, this is a good thing...
