What A Week

 Where to begin?

Maybe with Piper giving poor Aoife a heart attack?

 Ya, you little girl...

I came home from the office and Aoife was white as a ghost.
They went to the creek, a common occurrence, and Piper decided to show Aoife her swimming skills.

Aoife nearly lost her lunch and Piper laughed and laughed and laughed.
Ya, can't keep your eyes off of her, and apparently even that is not enough. No damage done at all, but poor Aoife was a mess. She was right there, able to fish her out in seconds. Piper didn't even cough.
But it scared the bajeasus out of her just the same.
Aoife that is.
Piper still thinks its hysterical.

 More talking too!
"Go See" "Shoes On" "Sit up"
You have to really listen for it, but she's saying stuff.

 Tree Hugger

 And
full. on. toddler.

 I have the Grandma's on a mission.
Piper's room is being made into an enchanted forest. It is a slow process, creativity can not be rushed you know! But its coming together. Grammy Eileen and I have been working on rock pillows and then this week Grandma Sally sent a box worthy of Christmas which included Piper's "log" My Mom thought of her old books of fairies and how they always lounge on logs (creative isn't she?) but she didn't stop there - the log is covered in little bugs and frogs for Piper to find. There's more to come on this one - its a project for sure!

Oh and then tu-tu's for her dolls?

 Even Max got one!

We've had a week full of play dates.
Giselle, David and Nisa, and then over to Rocky and Krissy's to hang with Quin
(the girls were fishing with their Daddy).
Piper was doing awesome sharing and hugging without strangling...and even danced to a live band in the park during the energy fair in town.

But in all honesty? Most of the week Piper has been a hand full.
Three eye teeth poked the surface this week, so she gets a get out of jail free card. But my goodness...
I was thinking, oh my - is this the next stage of toddlerhood? I'm in for it if it is.
Then she caught a break and I saw my little girl who listens a great most of the time, sings and dances and cracks me up more often than not.

We hosted the musician that played this week at Shumei. Piper took to her right away - and I got to end the week on a beautiful note. Complete with Piper sleeping in!
