Rollin' Mad

Things have been...well...challenging around here lately.
While Piper first rolled from front to back at 6 weeks, she did it rarely. Then resently she started rolling back to front. Quite well actually, very quick and smooth. But then...well then she got pissed.
I mean real pissed.
Because she suddenly has forgotten how to roll the other way. It would be fine except that it translated into an all day pissy-ness that came with all day needy, fussy fits. I suppose for the most part I have it pretty easy on most days. But this went on and on day after day. Josh and I began to fear that our sweet, happy little girl was showing true colors. All day she would whine and fuss. She didn't want to be held, didn't want to play - nothing would ease the constant "ugh. ugh. ugh."

Our dear friend Sandra came over to play while I had dance practice and not only did Piper continue to take the bottle (yay!), but she rolled back the other way with Sandra and seemed to loose her fussy pants.
Maybe she just needed a break from me.

But fast forward a few hours and she lost the roll again. Now the fussy pants are still missing... it is just that she can't remember how she rolled over.

some pep talks from Dad

and success!

But she's still working on remembering how to do it.
It will happen consistently soon I'm sure.
For now, for now I'm just happy to have my giggling baby back!
