Pumpkin Pickin's

Miss Moo is still loving her cat eyed sunglasses as a headband.

And Miss Piper has informed me that while the Cheshire Cat costume is "awesome" it is simply not scary enough for Halloween.

Piper informed me yesterday that she and Moxie are a "forever" team. When I asked her what the name of their team was she told me "Moxie Madeline Moo"
Why just her name?
"Because I love her so much Mom"

The pumpkin we were growing done got ate by rodents.
So off to Salida for the annual pumpkin patch up there.

But first some ridiculous cuteness.

Mox wasn't totally sure of the big sounds at first. Tractors are loud after all. But a hug from Papa and all is good.
Considering she struck her long nap for a crap car nap she did very well.

Piper is rockin' these outing. Happy and social with the other kids, she can wait and compromise far beyond her years.

Moxie was not havin' the goat pettin
Now way, no how.

But a pony ride? Well don't mind if I do!

Horse drawn hay ride by a beautiful team of horses dressed in bells. To a field of pumpkins for the picking. Perfect!

Hiking

Fall

Fall is in the air and that means the full on Halloween prep is underway.

Miss Moxie grew so much over night it's scary. She's talking like a mad woman!
"Dats a girl" was her first 3 waits string. And her single words are flying. She knows a ton of animals, a few colors and when we count she always calls out "six" at the right time.

And so it begins...

Piper has been asking me to write out words and she wants to copy them.
This weekend was "I love Mimi and Papa"

Of course Moxie wants in on the fun

New Playmate

Moxie is not the baby any more!!!

Piper was as sweet and gentle as she looks in these photos.

Moxie just pointed and called out "bay-bee"

After Dinner "Stroll"

Hike! Hike! Hike!

Moxie is ready! But not until her sunglasses are on just how she likes them.

And this girl can hike! We took her last weekends too and she just takes off. Nothing seems to steep, up or down.

A rare moment when she took the offered helping hand.

Wait. Let me adjust my glasses.
