Grandma Wes

Grandma "Wes" came this last week.

And we gave her the complete
 experience.

Which included toddler puke followed by double colds.

She even got to hear Moxie's Darth Vader impression.

But that didnt stop the wee one dolling out smiles.

Or both girls doing some modeling.

Piper continues to love Halloween. She told me she wanted to be a jumping spider and when I told her I had the costume already - that was it. She needed it now!

And who doesn't love Halloween in May?

Moxie thought it was pretty funny.

Piper is all about the creek and seems Unphased that it's snow run off.

The illnesses lingered on and off so we had lots of cuddle time.

But when all recovered it was pretty obvious.

Gramma had found a sandbar close to the house and we went to check it out.

Unfortunately the epic cactus fields and red ants were a bit much for Miss Piper.

But she gave it a shot before declaring our own backyard was her favorite.

Moxie was up for whatever

Backyard fairy houses!

Ultimately I think Grandma Wes' sandbar was too sunny for our little redhead.

But again, Moxie was cool with whatever.

Balancing, Water and Fairies

While, yes- I am learning to balance two kids as well as home and now a little work. The balance I refer to is Piper's.

She's got it. And she is very excited about it.

While Piper practices her biking Moxie is growing. And feeling better.

She's smiling and coming more into the world.

"It's okay baby Moxie, Momma, Daddy and Piper love you very much" - Piper age 3, in response to her sister fussing.

We took a jaunt out to the creek.

And it's running!!!

May the backyard water play begin!

The annual Dragon and Fairy Fest was an adventure this year.
After wanting to hold my hand for the first 20 min. Piper was off.
In the middle if everything, running from me, and chasing loose dogs!!!
Ugh!!!!

But while I struggled with giving her space and keeping her close in all honestly I'm happy to see her find comfort at events.

It's too bad I didn't get a photo of it, but Moxie had wings too - thanks to her sister's generosity.

She jumped at the chance to get her face painted !

And at the end of the day she curled up with her Dad and sister to watch mountain biking.

Moxie is loving the play mat

 She talks to the toys
And continues to try to roll

Getting so strong!

All that work it tiring

Now we're enjoying a mellow Mother's day where grouting and mopping commence.
