Snot Monster Returns.

Good grief.
You know the worst sound the the world - in my opinion at least?
A three week old drownding in snot.
Followed closely by my three year old telling me her ear hurts.

After some nasty high winds Piper's snot returned. Which brought back the cough, which brought back more night time antics.
Fun.
Could be yet another cold, but her allergy meds helped so the jury is still out.
Luckily she already is feeling better.

This common scene was replaced by this...

But Moxie? Poor Moxie is still struggling to breath. Her symptoms seem different from Piper's, but who the heck knows. She's been out and about so it's hard tell. So I'm working on my suctioning skills and Josh and I are both working on living on less than a few hours of sleep.

3 Weeks Old

Moxie is now 9lbs 5 oz and has grown out of all those newborn clothes I searched for for ages.

She's lifting her head, smiling and I even caught her trying to roll. She's about 1/2 got it.  She is anxious to catch up and play with her sister.

Piper and Moxie are still thick

Still no jealousy and Piper has settled enough that she was more than ready to go visit Mimi and Papa tonight.

Sweet as they are, I'm tired.
Josh has been in and out of town so I've been on my own.
As a dear friend from high school suggested, I've entered each day with no expectations. That and taken each trip out of the house at a calm, snails speed and we've survived.
Still with me healing and even a flat tire fiasco we're pulling it off. Moxie waits patiently while I deal with power struggles and melt downs and Piper helps and waits when I'm covered in poop and nursing.

Piper is forever decorating, so on one Moxie's naps I decorated her.

Cuddles, First Baths, Aunt Amy and Easter

Everyone wanted in on Moxie's first bath.

Mellow Moxie Moo lives up to her nickname. I put her down for less than a minute while I attended to a fairy wing emergency.
And this is what happened-

Friends stopped by and we visited over the top of her while she hung out for over an hour.

And she's waking up more.

Wide eyed and getting decorated by her big sister

She loves her big sister

Can't blame her, Piper is incredible.

None of this is staged.
The kisses, the hugs  ... I'm just catching the moments as they happen. Which is often.

So what do you do when your two young kids go to bed?

We roll exciting. More cabinets!!! Well Josh does, I roll even more exciting by going to bed at 8pm.

Aunt Amy came to help during Easter weekend. Piper enjoyed the play time and I needed the sister time, and help!

Sounded like a fun idea, but Piper was way more interested in eating hard boiled eggs than decorating them.

Piper is obsessed with the movie Frozen right now.

Aunt Amy enjoys some Moxie cuddles.

Easter!!!

It's a very very good thing I can update the blog on my phone, Moxie is nursing ever 45 min. Good thing I know that it doesn't last forever!
