How do you catch up from nearly a month of summer activities ?
Might need a smallish nap first.
We headed up to Denver several weeks ago for Uncle Steve and Aunt Michelle's wedding.
It was lovely, and with some bribery, we managed to get through it with out any outbursts.
Good job Josh! ;)
Piper dug the downtown scene.
"The wheels on the bus" is pretty darn exciting when one drives by every few minutes.
And some time to contemplate the unmeasurable value of a lovely outdoor space.
Back at home the " kittens" have become playmates.
And Piper continues to crack us up. Daily.
Make that hourly.
House building is in full swing.
And... Well ya. I'm sure you can imagine what life is like around here and why you haven't seen a post in a month. Josh is taking a permaculture course, house, jobs, toddler... Ya.
Luckily Piper has had some time with Mimi and Papa.
She refused to get out of her pjs, and the tutu was a must for "flower soup" making on the land.
She is amazing at catching them, and lets them go without a whimper. "Time to go home now"
The twins came for a play date on the land.
I thought Piper's head was going to explode.
And the boys took to Josh, as most kids do.
The tractor rides helped ;)
Music fest was good, yet challenging this year. Piper is mobile and of her own mind. = not being able to hold a conversation for more than 2 minutes without having to run after her.
More play dates on the land... Some days that's the only way we get to see Daddy. It will all be worth it though!
Oh. And ya, she's driving now.
She's also singing the alphabet and counting to 15. And is so solid on her numbers you can ask her if she was 9 how old would she be on her next birthday, and she gets it. She's setting the table, picking up and helping cook too. And talking... Oh the talking. Stories and concepts. Even the last week has seen a huge influx of words and longer sentences strung together. Add in that she has her p's and q's down unprompted and she's been a delightful companion.
